Car Troubles

Do you ever just crave a type of food so badly that you’d do anything to eat it? I do… all the time. There’s this cafe near me that does the best smashed avo I’ve ever had, and when I woke up this morning I seriously didn’t want to talk to anyone until I had eaten it. I’m sure you’ve all heard the term ‘hangry’ at one point or another, but you don’t really understand what it means to be ‘hangry’ until you’ve met me.

You can imagine my meltdown this morning when I got into my car to get my smashed avo and it wouldn’t start. I literally burst into tears, just like my diesel engine had apparently burst overnight. I don’t even know if that’s the technical term for what happened, but I needed a professional diesel repair in the Raceview area ASAP. The mechanic worked on my car in the driveway this morning and I couldn’t even think about eating until after he was finished. I was seriously a mess.

It’s now 3:30 pm and I am only just sitting down to my smashed avo. I’m obviously extremely frustrated, not even about the fact that my car essentially exploded. I’m frustrated that I woke up at 10 am to be eating breakfast by 10:30 am and now it’s mid-afternoon and I’m only just eating. I’m glad that the mechanic around the Raceview area was so good at getting to my car and fixing it. If he hadn’t been, then I probably wouldn’t even be eating breakfast right now. If that was the case, I’d probably be too angry to even write this blog post right now.

Anyway, I’m going to put my now fixed car problems out of my mind so that I can sit down and enjoy this deliciously tangy avocado and feta toast breakfast. This is my happy place and over five hours later I am very relieved to finally be eating. Goodbye car problems, hello delicious breakfast.
